Fun, Adventure & Skills for Life (Ages 6–18+)

Skerries Sea Scouts is all about fun, friendship and adventure, giving young people the opportunity to get outdoors, try new things and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Our programme includes water activities, outdoor skills, teamwork, leadership and plenty of adventure. Young people can take part in activities such as kayaking, canoeing and power boating, as well as camps, challenges and other Scouting activities.

Youth Member Applications – 2026/27

The Expression of Interest process for the 2026/27 Scouting year is now closed.

We received a very high number of expressions of interest this year and were significantly oversubscribed. Unfortunately, places are limited and we have not been able to offer every child a place.

If you have not heard from us, this means that we have been unable to offer your child a place for the 2026/27 year.

The Expression of Interest list is cleared down at the end of every year, so being on the list in a previous year does not automatically carry over to the following year.

When can I apply for next year?

The Expression of Interest process will open again April 2027 for the 2027/28 Scouting year.

Please keep an eye on the Skerries Sea Scouts website for updates and details on when the form opens.

Places are limited, and priority is given to families where a parent or guardian is able to become a leader, although this does not guarantee a place.

Volunteering with Skerries Sea Scouts

Skerries Sea Scouts is run by volunteers, and we are always grateful to those who give their time to support the group.

If you are interested in getting involved as a leader, please get in touch anytime. No previous Scouting experience is required, and training and support are provided.
